About the Bostonia Church of Christ

He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

- -Matthew 16:15-18

The first thing you should know is…It really isn’t “about us.”

It’s about God!

The Bostonia church of Christ, a group of Christians who have been meeting at the corner of Crosby Street and Sumner Ave. since 1954, exists for the purpose of glorifying God in life, in worship, in relationships with each other and in seeking to share the Good News of Jesus Christ across the street and across the world.

To that extent, we are committed to the principle of going back to the Bible and letting it be our guide with regards to faith and practice. While the world has changed in many ways since the advent of the church in the 1st century, the word of God remains relevant and sufficient as a means for determining God’s will and for establishing and growing in faith.

In addition to our Sunday Worship Services, we have Bible Classes for all ages on Sunday Morning and Wednesday evening. We also have a Ladies’ Bible Class that meets on Tuesday mornings. During our worship, we have sign language interpreters and assistive listening devices for the deaf and hearing impaired.

To encourage our young people and strengthen their faith, we host a youth rally in February, Vacation Bible School in June and Bible Camp in July. Throughout the year we have various activities that are designed to foster spiritual growth and greater bonds of fellowship and unity for all ages.

We aren’t perfect…who is? But, we love God, love one another and are committed to growing in faith and love. Because, well, that’s what God has called us to. And, it is about Him.

There is always room for one more in our family! So, we invite you to join us in our exploration and application of His word as together we pursue His will for our lives as a loving family of believers.
